Fruit season!

There was so much going on with the house (solar panels, rendering) and the garage (lots of firewood!) that I hadn't been paying an awful lot of attention to the garden. I had cut the grass during a convenient dry day, but that was it. And then one day I suddenly realised that my berries were ripening. The redcurrants were already almost gone, thanks to the birds, but now the blackcurrants were shining darkly from their shrubs. So it was time to bring out a tub and do the first harvest! And once the blackcurrants start the whole thing up, the rest will follow soon. Next are the gooseberries and the plums. And then in the end the apples. I like fruit season! I will soon make the first compote!

First harvest
