Attempt at autumn beetroot crop

The seed package says you should sow beetroot between April and July. And I did. But in late September I figured I had nothing to lose by sowing some more, and seeing where it would lead. I had little to lose!

The seedlings came up soon, and grew as normal. So far so good. I have now put them in their individual pots. I suppose the dangerous stage will be after I plant them out. It may be too cold for them to thrive. But well, this summer it was too hot and dry for them to thrive. I got a a few meals out of them anyway! So who knows, I may eat some homegrown roast beetroot in November…
