Leisurely Saturday stroll

When it became clear Kate would be in the country over the summer, this opened possibilities for some adventures. But nothing can be taken for granted, of course; then she ended up having covid. But after a bit of an unpleasant week, she was fit enough for a leisurely stroll on the Saturday. And not everything needs to be an adventure; sometimes some uneventful catching up can be as good. So we set off to Beddgelert. There is a nice walk along the river there. And we made sure to be there quite early. It was summer, and it is Beddgelert! And as a result the entire walk was in the shade, but that was okay. We knew we would be getting more than enough sunshine and heat that weekend.

We just enjoyed the walk and had two coffee breaks. It just was one of those days! And then we were back in the village a bit earlier than the ice cream parlour actually opened, so we just sat in a sunny field for a bit. And then we got some glorious ice cream! Not a bad way of ending a nice relaxed morning. There was enough not-so-relaxed stuff to do it home afterwards!
