Fruit season starts

I spotted ripe raspberries in the garden! The first ripe fruit of the year. Just a bit earlier than last year. Maybe I'm more alert! Maybe it really was earlier. And as I was at it anyway I tried a gooseberry. That was still a bit sour but soon they'll be nice! So I hope I can soon eat most of my fruit from the garden. The crop won't be big this year; the apple tree and the plum tree are not looking promising. But I'll have lots of gooseberries! And I should really prune that apple tree; that sort of never happened last year. I should make sure to do it this winter. And the plum tree has been done and might need a bit of time to recover. And then maybe next year will be better!
